User spaces

Each user has by default 3 files spaces on each cluster :

  • $HOME, or /home/$username/, folder : for sources, executables ...
  • Data folder : for inputs,results, etc..
    • /homedata/$username/ (on MESO IPSL-X )
    • /data/$username/ (on MESO IPSL-SU)
  • Scratch Folder : temporary file, models checkpoints, data reorganisation
    • /scratchu/$username/ (on MESO IPSL-SU)
    • /scratchx/$username/ (on MESO IPSL-X )

Notes

Each cluster could access remotely to all filesystems on the other cluster but only in Read-Only mode

To see your quota , you have to use quotas command

[xxxxxx@ciclad-ng ~]$ quotas
Quota for user xxxxxx
Filesystem used quota limit grace files quota limit grace
          /home 6.962G 20G 21G - 75248 300000 310000 -
          /data 1014G 1T 1.195T - 186769 300000 310000 -
